My Fav Place to work and relax

My name is George. This is where I work when at home, watch movies, play games and relax.
For those wondering what do I “need” 5 monitors, etc: I only need energy (oxygen and food). I like having these stuff and once you can afford something the reason above is good enough.

Mac Home Office

I am a full time web developer and part time Daily Fantasy Sports Player.
For those of you still using the standard Apple keyboard and mouse… I would highly recommend going mechanical and changing your mouse as well. it makes a world of a difference.

Where did you get those lamps dude? Or even, do you know what they’re referred to as? I’ve been looking everywhere for something similar but am having no luck..

  • comment avatar Matt Brown January 17, 2011

    Both lamps are from Ikea:

    White Table Lamps - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00095588

    Black Wall Lights - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00136070

    Matt,

Would you say the quality of the Ultrasharp is up to par with the iMac’s screen? I’m looking at getting a U2311H to hook up to my MacBook Pro, and I’m curious as to if the screen quality is as good as an Apple monitor.

    Nice setup!

    -Noah.

    Hi Noah:

The Dell is a matte screen versus the glossy of Apple, so it’s tough to compare because each has a different output. Depending on your line of work and what you’re gonna be using the monitor mostly for, either one is a good decision. I think you’ll be just fine with the U2311.

    Thanks!

What do you use to be able to support 2 external monitors? An Apple dual-link DVI dongle?

  • comment avatar Matt Brown March 16, 2011

The laptop isn’t connected to the monitors. The iMac is using a standard DVI out to the monitor on the left.

Ahh I should noticed from the trim that it was an iMac. Thanks!
