Stark Lab v1 (Systems Architect Mood-Lit Home Office)

I’m a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) systems architect and cloud software engineer (Bash, PHP, MySQL) and work from home full time.
I manage a datacenter private cloud and use the two Apple displays for productivity and RDP tasks and the two HP vertical monitors for NOC graphs and alerts.
Hope you enjoy and find inspiration for your own setup.

Awesome setup! I love multi-monitor setups, thinking of building one myself soon…

Very inspiring setup! How are the floating monitors behave? Are they rock-steady?

“How are the floating monitors behave? Are they rock-steady?”

The monitor arms are fantastic. Because the desk is 800mm deep, and I like to have the monitors close to me, they are well extended from the upright support pole, yet there is no wobble or movement. This is the model I am using: http://www.tykesupply.com/Products_Super_Dual_Monitor_Stand.html

Sweet products (price too!). Have u experienced any “squeeking” noises when moving/re-adjusting or any lose screws from time to time?

That’s a pretty beast pc!! Everything is upgraded to almost full!!! All you need to do next is grab a monster case e.g a cooler master HAF 900 or the Antec 900 which are both relatively quiet when you disconnect or turn Down the fans!

    “e.g a cooler master HAF 900 or the Antec 900 ”

The FT02 from Silverstone incorporates a “positive pressure” design which stops dust building up inside the PC. Internal fans and the cooler fins of GPU’s and heatsinks are prone to dust build-up, however this is the first case I have ever owned which overcomes this. It’s also an incredibly quiet case with superior cooling due to the 90 degree rotation of the components. See Silent PC’s review here http://www.silentpcreview.com/SilverStone_Fortress_FT02
