Home Workstation

Here is my workstation. I use it for surfing the web, editing photos, and software & web development. I have a Server / Media Center under my TV that i use for watching TV shows and movies. The desk is a South Shore Element Corner Desk. The desk is great it has plenty of workspace. I use the left drawer for important files and paperwork. And the cubby above that is for things I want to keep out of sight. I removed the door on the right side because my desktop was getting a little toasty with the lack of ventilation. But it’s a perfect height for a desktop. Underneath I have hidden all the wires and attached an IKEA SIGNUM. The monitor arm is an Ergotron MX Desk Mount LCD Arm. The monitor arm extends out really far so most of the time I keep it folded in. I wanted it for aesthetics, maintaining desk space, and screen rotation because for development. The framed whiteboard I picked up at either Staples or Office Depot. I originally had it mounted portrait but it looks and works much better in landscape. I usually find it easier to write a post it note and stick it then actually write on it. Dimensions of the whiteboard area are actually 8’’ x 14’’
The small mimo monitor is actually touchscreen! I use it for background applications. Mostly Last.fm or skype but it’s good enough for video playback. Sometimes I’ll start watching something on the tiny monitor then transition to the TV. Best part the thing runs off one USB cable. Power, Data, and Touch control! It also folds up real nice for travel.
